Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal tunnel syndrome is a very common condition involving compression of the median nerve at the wrist. Conservative management of carpal tunnel syndrome frequently includes the use of a wrist cock up splint with the wrist in a neutral position to decrease compression on the median nerve during activity and while sleeping at night. These splints are also used on occasion after open or endoscopic carpal tunnel release while transitioning back to normal activities.
