The Therapists at Hand Therapy Canada are all experienced therapists within their respective regions. Each Therapist contracted by us has the experience to assess patients to determine and develop the appropriate treatment plan, fabricate splints directly on site, and provide follow up treatment as required. Hand Therapy Canada now has 8 Occupational & Physical Therapists providing services throughout Southwestern Ontario and in the Ottawa area!

 

Mike Szekeres OT Reg (Ont.) President, Hand Therapy Canada		While providing clinical support and consultation to the growing network of Hand Therapists working with Hand Therapy Canada, Mike Szekeres is also a non-core member of the faculty of graduate studies at the University of Western Ontario. He has worked at the Hand & Upper Limb Centre in London Ontario for 13 years. Mike has published multiple articles in the Journal of Hand Therapy, Techniques in Upper Extremity Surgery, authored 2 chapters in Hand Clinics of North America and has presented at several American Society of Hand Therapists Annual Conferences and the International Federation for the Societies of Hand Therapy in Scotland in 2004. He is the President of Hand Therapy Canada, a private organization that was founded 7 years ago to run the Canadian Hand Therapy Conference. Mike is an invited member of the Hand Therapy Think Tank. Mike was also the 2010 Director of the Education Division of the American Society of Hand Therapists. He was an invited faculty member at the Philadelphia Hand Symposium for 2011 and has been re-invited for 2012.
